Standard Claims (Most Common)

You pay us on the day of treatment.

We process your claim, and your insurer pays you directly.

Insurer deducts: excess, co-payments, and non-claimable items (e.g. food, clothing).

What We Need

  1. completed & signed claim form (or email to petinsurance@kingsroadvets.com)

  2. Policy number

  3. Policy holder’s name & email

  4. Condition(s) being claimed

Insurers with Online Claim Portals

  • Animal Friends (Pawtal)

  • Pet Protect

  • Agria

    You must request claims with:

  • Pet Plan

  • Direct Line

  • Many Pets

Direct Claims (Insurance Pays Us)

  • Only accepted in limited cases:

    • Bills over £800 on the day 

      (pre authorization is required)

  • You pay on the day:

    • Policy excess

    • Exclusions (not covered by insurer)

    • £20 admin fee (initial claim only)

Pre-Authorisation

Speak to your insurer first (rules vary by company)

Only for procedures at Kings Road Vets (referral centres handle their own)

Claims for Other Practices

Only possible if part of the treatment was also done here.

£20 admin fee applies.

You must request invoice & medical history from the other vet and send to us.

Claims can take up to 3 weeks – check your policy for deadlines.
